TADSMap is a TADS module (source code and images) to let TADS games show a dynamically-created graphical map to the user based on what locations she or he has explored.

TADSMap can be downloaded from the following direct links:

HTML: http://ifarchive.org/if-archive/programming/tads2/examples/tadsmap.zip

FTP: ftp://ifarchive.org/if-archive/programming/tads2/examples/tadsmap.zip

If you are in another country or the IF Archive site site is slow, you can also go to http://ifarchive.org and find an appropriate mirror.

With the download, you'll find an HTML-based introduction to TADSMap. But you can also see the introduction here.

The TADSMap sample images were provided graciously by Mark Abrams, a very talented graphic designer whose Web site is look! designs. Mark Abrams also designed the Umbar.com Web site.

One important note: because TADSMap requires the very latest versions of the HTML-TADS interpreter, don't just double-click the example included with the download unless you've checked with the introduction to be sure you have a compatible interpreter.
